The Police – Synchronicity
⭐ 10/10
I mean, come on.
An album with “Every Breath You Take” on it pretty much has to be perfection.
Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland were such a weirdly perfect combination. Sting with the songs and that unmistakable voice, Summers with those atmospheric guitar parts, and Copeland playing drums like he was trying to outrun everybody else in the band.
And Synchronicity was basically The Police at their peak.
“Synchronicity II” is fantastic.
“King of Pain” is one of Sting’s best songs.
“Wrapped Around Your Finger” still sounds amazing.
“Every Breath You Take” is obviously the monster.
Then you’ve got “Walking in Your Footsteps,” “O My God,” “Murder by Numbers” and the completely bizarre “Mother.” 😂
It’s dark, catchy, strange, polished and somehow still sounds like nobody else.
And knowing this was basically the end of The Police makes it even better. They went out with one hell of an album.

Amazing record.
And yes, if your album has one of the most played songs ever sitting on it…
I’m calling it perfection.
